Since 2019, we've been donating $1 of every order to Edesia Nutrition. Our first donation was $1,000, and at that time, we truly didn’t realize how much of an impact could be made.

We’re extremely fortunate to have hit yet another record in Q2 of 2021, and we’ll be donating a total of $18,392 to Edesia on behalf of the F&F community. 

The Edesia team works tirelessly to end malnutrition on a global scale. Here’s a look at everything they’ve accomplished in the past several months alone…

📍 San Miguel

Once their miracle food packets leave the factory in Rhode Island, the team never knows what they will endure along the journey. This shipment of Plumpy'Nut, Plumpy'Sup, and Nutributter got stuck on a narrow mountain road in Guatemala. After a few hours, they successfully got the truck through and completed the delivery.

📍 Somalia

Your recent donation of $18,392 will contribute towards Edesia’s work with IMC Somalia. Here is a brief update on the situation:

The overall nutrition in Somalia has deteriorated due to the combined effects of widespread and severe flooding, Desert Locust infestation, and the socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19. Rates of acute malnutrition have remained very high, ranging from 10-14.9%. 

IMC (International Medical Corps) operates nutrition programs in three regions of Somalia. Currently, IMC lacks sufficient supplies of Plumpy’Nut to treat severely malnourished children. As such, a donation of Plumpy’Nut is urgently needed to provide critical treatment.
