Grilled Flank Steak w/ Thai Basil Sauce

Upgrade your backyard BBQ with a unique and flavorful steak dish with a sauce that can pair with just about anything.

Think Chimichurri meets pesto...with a Thai twist! We blend jalapeños, garlic, fish sauce, lime, and LOTS of herbs. Then, top it on seasoned, grilled flank steak. The saltiness of the Thai Basil Sauce balances with the natural richness of steak (or any other protein you decide on). The best part? It can all be done in one bowl - so there is little to no mess involved.

Grilled Flank Steak w/ Thai Basil Sauce

Garlic 1 clove
Jalapeno 1 each
Fish Sauce 1 tbsp
Sunflower Oil 1/3 cup
Lime Juice 2 tbsp
White Sugar 1 tsp
Kosher Salt 1/2 tsp
Fresh Cilantro 1/2 cup
Thai Basil 2 tbsp
Flank Steak 1 lb
Olive Oil 1 tbsp
Kosher Salt 1/2 tsp
Ground Black Pepper 1/8 tsp
1. Add all ingredients except for the herbs to a large bowl and blend using an immersion blender until well combined. Then add herbs and blend again (you should see the herbs!) Set aside.
2. Take steak out of packaging and dry off somewhat with good paper towels. Lay steak out on sheet pans and rub with oil, then season the steaks evenly with salt & pepper. Place on to hot grill until desirable grill marks are achieved. Cook until the internal temperature reaches at least 145°F. Serve with Thai Basil Sauce.
