There are only a few towns that we can say we’ve been serving for 5 years. The only others would be The East Side of Providence (our hometown) and Warren/Barrington (our first shared kitchen at Hope & Main)

Our expansion into Newport came about when we received several inquires from residents looking for a meal service that reflected the local flavor and culture of their town.

Newport is filled with charm, scenic views, and amazing food—it’s simply wrong to eat a frozen meal shipped across the county when you're in the area.

We launched with just a small group of members in 2016, and the connections we made with the community were almost immediate. We figured out what residents enjoy all year round, versus those who visit only during the summer months—a key distinction that helped us launch other seasonal regions like Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard.

Some of our first partners were Newport businesses like Inpopnito – which set the tone for how we show appreciation and love by sending gifts to our members. We purchased our second delivery van from Barry's Automotive Group, took part in Newport Wellness Week since 2018, and two of our founders even got married on the coast of Newport! 

Now, on our 5 year anniversary, we’re introducing our newest partner - Newport Sea Salt.

Newport Sea Salt is a small-scale, artisanal sea salt company that sources freshwater from the Brenton Reef off the Newport Coast, making batches of 100% pure natural sea salt. 

Going forward, new F&F members will receive a custom-made co-branded jar of Newport Sea Salt. We know that our members tend to cook at home when they don’t use F&F and just a few flakes of this sea salt is sure to elevate any dish.
