Sesame Tahini Cookie

We love adding new variations of different cookies on our menus. Our Sesame Tahini cookie is our newest addition! 

This unique treat's main ingredient is tahini, also known as sesame seed paste. It creates an unexpected creamy texture and is balanced so nicely between its nuttiness and the light sweetness of honey. I'd compare them to peanut butter cookie but with a more savory touch.

Sesame Tahini Cookie

SERVES  8 SERVINGS
PREP TIME  1 HOUR
COOK TIME  12 MINS

 

Ingredients
All-Purpose Flour 2 1/2 cups
Baking Powder 1 1/8 tsp
Kosher Salt 1/4 tsp
Unsalted Butter 3/4 cup
White Sugar 3/4 cup
Honey 3 1/2 tbsp
Tahini 3/4 cup
White Sesame Seeds 1/2 cup
 
Directions
1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, baking powder, and kosher salt. Set aside.
 
2. Cream together butter, sugar, honey, and tahini.
 
3. Adding in batches, mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Once fully combined, scoop cookie dough and press into sesame seeds. Flatten and chill for 1 hour on sheet tray (sesame seed side up)
 
4. Bake at 350°F for 6 minutes, then turn and bake for another 6 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
