Traditional Tabouli

Traditionally, tabouli is served as part of a mezze platter: a selection of small plates and appetizers within Middle Eastern cuisine. Chef Maggie added this to our menu to pair with items like our falafel burger, tzatziki, hummus, and naan.

This dish includes fresh parsley, tomatoes, and lemon - the perfect ingredients to liven up any dish. Make your own mezze platter at home with the help of F&F's Traditional Tabouli recipe, shared below!

Eat Well.

Traditional Tabouli

Bulgur 1 1/2 cups
Water 1 1/2 cups
Tomatoes - Fresh, Diced 1 1/2 cups
Garlic - Peeled, Minced 1 clove
Lemon Juice 3 tbsp
Red Wine Vinegar 1 tbsp
Olive Oil 2 1/2 tsp
Fresh Parsley 1 cup
Kosher Salt 1/2 tsp
1. Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan, once at a boil turn off heat and pour bulgur wheat into water. Gently move the bulgur around to ensure the water is evenly dispersed. Cover with lid and let sit for about 30 minutes.

2. Combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, lemon juice, red wine vinegar and olive oil in a large bowl.

3. Add cooked bulgur to a large mixing bowl and add tomato mixture, chopped parsley and salt. Taste for seasoning! (Mixture should look very herby!)
