Perfect Seared Chicken

There are a few simple tips to use when searing a chicken breast to keep a tender inside and crispy outside: A dry chicken because any moisture gets in the way of a sear, high heat to give it a crispy and fried outside, then a few minutes of patience.⁠

Perfect Seared Chicken
Chicken Breast 4 each
Sunflower or Vegetable Oil 1/4 cup
Kosher Salt 3 tbsp
Ground Black Pepper 1/4 cup

 

Direction
 
1. Using a towel, pat your chicken breast dry. Season with salt and pepper.
 
2. Meanwhile, get a medium sautee pan hot over medium-high heat. Add a high smoke point oil (like vegetable or sunflowers oil) once the pan heats up a bit,
 
3. Add your oil and then place your chicken down. Press down on the chicken for an even sear. Let cook for 6 minutes on each side or until the chicken breast reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
