Convenience and Community: The Inspiration Behind Feast & Fettle

Hey! I’m Maggie and I want to share the story of how I became inspired to create Feast & Fettle.

From a young age, food has been a central part of my life. I have vivid memories of spending countless hours cooking alongside my Vovó (grandmother), which connected me to my family’s Portuguese roots. As we cooked together she shared her family's recipes along with the timeless wisdom that flavorful, nourishing food doesn’t have to be complicated.

The time we spent together instilled in me a deep love and appreciation for food, and it’s no surprise that I ultimately ended up with a career in the culinary industry. Cooking has been a constant in my life, a passion that continues to drive and inspire me to this day.

Throughout my time in culinary school, I worked as a nanny for an incredible family with three young girls who taught me as much about life as I learned about cooking. This was probably the most formative experience of my career. I saw firsthand the daily chaos of balancing work, school, and family responsibilities and how much of a positive impact family mealtime had on their busy lifestyle.

After my experience as a nanny, I spent several years working as a personal chef, bringing the same level of care to each family I served. It was incredibly rewarding to see how my cooking could make a difference in the lives of my clients, and I wanted to share it with more families in the area.

That’s when I started preparing meals at home and personally delivering as a way to take on more clients. Despite not doing any marketing, demand for my services continued to grow. It became clear that there was a significant need in the market for an easy, high-quality meal delivery service that could meet the needs of busy families.

And so, Feast & Fettle was born. We put care and attention to detail into each meal, use fresh, real ingredients (nothing you can’t pronounce), and personally deliver each order ourselves.

Though we’ve grown to serve thousands of New England members, I'm incredibly proud to say that F&F still feels like the personal chef service I created so long ago. We’re a company that helps elevate dinnertime and nurture relationships, and that's what makes Feast & Fettle more than just a meal delivery service.
