Edesia Update: Mayan Health Initiative

Since 2019, we've been donating $1 of every order to Edesia Nutrition. Our first-ever donation was $1,000, and watching our quarterly donations grow alongside us is easily one of the most rewarding parts of our journey...

We're happy to share that at the close of Q3 2021, we sent a total of $20,078 to Edesia on behalf of the F&F community. 

The Edesia team will be using this quarter's donation to answer an ask from Mayan Health Initiative in Guatemala:

Mayan Health Initiative (MHI) is situated in a valley in one of the most remote and impoverished areas in Guatemala. It's surrounded by extinct volcanoes, two of which are the highest in Central America. This area is often referred to as the “forgotten corner” of Guatemala.

Mayan Health Initiative (MHI) works tirelessly to reach families in the area. Many children receive treatment from MHI for malnutrition, as well as corrective surgeries that are needed to survive. 

Because of Edesia’s donations, Mayan Health Initiative has been able to develop a network of partnering organizations and doctors that can distribute lifesaving ready-to-use foods throughout the country. There is a big need for products, and your contributions have made a life-saving difference in the volume and speed of each shipment.
