We Donated $14,000 to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Earlier this year, one of our F&F team members, Brandon, shared a moving and personal story about his friend's struggle with mental health. He bravely shared his story and in his speech, he extended his support to anyone who might be facing similar issues and offered himself as a confidant.

Brandon's story was unfortunately a familiar one and it hit home for everyone on the team. We were inspired to donate $1 from every order in January to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. 

Thanks to our members, we were able to donate a total of $14,000 to their efforts.

We Donated $23,000 to Edesia

Our ongoing partners at Edesia have been hard at work after the USAID made the largest investment in history in malnutrition. There’s now over $500M being invested in the procurement of Plumpy’Nut around the world.

As incredibly exciting as this news is, Edesia is now urgently scaling up its operation in South Kingstown, RI to meet the increasing need across the globe. 

Since before the new year, our quarterly donations have been going towards the purchase of a box closer, which is a piece of machinery that functions exactly as it sounds! This will allow the Edesia team to ship out an additional 7,000 boxes of Plumpy’Nut a day. 

Considering the team used to close and tape each box by hand, this critical piece of equipment will significantly increase the speed in which Edesia can ship out lifesaving foods to countries on the brink of famine.
